After
discovering
some
of
their
demos
on
a late
night
Internet
radio
program,
Kelp
jumped
at
the
chance
to
release
the
enchanting
sounds
of
Hoffenheimer.
The
European
duo,
comprised
of
German
House
DJ
Klaus
Heimer
and
Dutch
interior
designer
Gustav
Hoffen,
have
quickly
assembled
their
finest
recordings
to
date,
which
will
be
released
as
their
first
North
American
release
later
this
winter.
The
album,
entitled
Frieren
(the
German
word
for
"freezing"),
is
a trip
into
the
world
of
slumber,
exhibiting
a delicate
touch
similar
to
the
works
of
Low,
Ida
or
quieter
Yo
La
Tengo.
Equipped
with
keyboards,
bass
and
soft,
soft
vocals,
Hoffenheimer
have
quite
possibly
created
the
"sleeper"
hit
of
the
year.
