XM RADIO VERGE MUSIC AWARDS and AV/SWANNY TOUR!
Hey all, Seems like awards season or something. Out of nowhere, XM Radio's The Verge has announced a brand new prize celebrating Canadian music! The Verge Music Awards will award $25,000 to best album and to best artist of the year. HILOTRONS, Jim Bryson and the Acorn have all made the list, so vote away here. Or better yet, build a robot that votes for all three every minute of every day until September 1st. AV and Swanny are set to kick off a week or so of shows with Ron Leary around Ontario. This year, the Polaris folks have chosen to announce a list of 40 bands first, which will be whiddled down to 10 on July 7th.
